Frequently asked questions
Is eSourcing Data available through G-Cloud 15?
Yes. eSourcing Data procurement technology is available through RM1557.15 G-Cloud 15, with 28 software services listed under Lot 2b (Software as a Service) on the Digital Marketplace, plus associated Lot 3 cloud support.
Which lots is the software available under?
Lot 2b (Software as a Service) for the platform, and Lot 3 (Cloud Support Service) for implementation, migration, security, data and managed support.
How does a public-sector buyer purchase through G-Cloud 15?
Book a demonstration or send your requirement. We map it to the applicable service listing and lot, issue a written proposal, and you complete your organisation’s G-Cloud call-off procedure using the framework’s standard order and call-off documentation.
Is G-Cloud 15 a contract?
No. G-Cloud 15 is a framework agreement. Individual buyer purchases made under it result in call-off contracts with the named supplier.
Can we buy through G-Cloud 15 without running a full tender?
Yes, that is the point of the framework. G-Cloud is designed for direct award: you assess the available services against your requirement, document your choice, observe any standstill your governance requires, and award a call-off contract under the framework. There is no separate OJEU-style competition.
How long does implementation take?
Most buyers are live within weeks, not months. A typical path is configuration and data migration first, then user training and a supported go-live. Timelines are confirmed in the written proposal against your modules, integrations and user numbers.
Where is our data held, and is it GDPR-compliant?
Data is held on UK infrastructure with UK data residency. The platform is GDPR-compliant and ICO registered. A full security pack, covering data protection, our approach to penetration testing, Cyber Assessment Framework mappings and data processing agreements, is available on request.
What happens to our data if we leave?
Your data is yours. Exit and data-portability terms are set out in the call-off documentation: you can export tenders, supplier records, contracts and the audit trail in standard formats, with agreed exit support so nothing is locked in.
What support and service levels are included?
Support is delivered directly by the eSourcing Data procurement team, with implementation, training and managed platform support available under Lot 3 (Cloud Support Service). Specific service levels and response times are confirmed in the proposal and call-off contract.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is bespoke, tailored to your organisation type, user numbers, modules and support requirements. Indicative budget bands are captured when you request a quotation, and a written proposal follows with itemised licence, implementation and support costs.
Does it handle below-threshold as well as above-threshold procurement?
Yes. The platform handles both above- and below-threshold procurement, including the high volume of lower-value contracts typical across councils and the NHS, with the same audit trail throughout.
Can consultancies and shared services run procurement for multiple clients?
Yes. The platform supports multi-client and multi-account workflows, so outsourced procurement providers, consultancies and shared services can run separate client accounts from one login, each in its own isolated workspace with its own audit trail.
Have a live requirement?
Send us your timescale and current procurement challenge. We will respond with an initial service recommendation within one working day.
